Richard A. LaFleur. Wheelock's Latin Reader, 2nd Edition: Selections from Latin Literature

"This year, I visited places to explore Roman architecture and learn more about the Roman Empire. I tried to dedicate atleast 1 hour every Monday and Wednesday expanding my vocabulary, refining my reading and writing skills, and translating Latin texts. Apart from improving my Latin, I also deepened my knowledge on topics such as:

- the origins of Latin
- colloquial Latin
- the evolution of Latin
- the extinction of the Latin language
- laws and social structure
- domestic politics
- economics and trade of the Roman Empire
- slavery and social classes
- logistics and warfare
- colonies and foreign politics

While studying Roman history I read the first few chapters of "De Bello Gallico".
I also translated the first chapter myself as seen in the picture.
