Astronomy to me is the most fascinating subject and i love to learn about the different aspects of space. This year i deepened my knowledge of the history of astronomy as well as the tools and techniques astronomers use (and have used) to study the universe, like imaging, spectroscopy or different types of telescopes. I learned about the formation of the solar system and the life cycle of stars, including how they form, evolve and eventually die.
I then delved into the study of the universe as a whole, including its origin, evolution and structure. For this i researched the Big Bang theory, the expansion of the universe, dark matter and dark energy. I also explored the search for exoplanets and the potential for life beyond Earth, for example the criteria for habitability and the methods used to detect exoplanets.
Furthermore, I studied the history of space exploration, including key milestones such as the Apollo moon landings and the exploration of other planets and moons.
Throughout this year i gained a better understanding of astrophysics, including gravity and the properties of light.
For visiting the Space Expo, I even got an astronaut diploma.
